It's prompting me to provide a "Hetzner" API token. This app is about self hosting, why is it prompting me to use 3rd party servers? How do I skip this step and get to connecting the app to my own NixOS server?
Also where can I find the configuration I can use for NixOS?
Hi Zyansheep,
Thanks for contacting SelfPrivacy
Please be informed that currently, SelfPrivacy provides its developments in a form of automated setup of server running NixOS and a set of self-hosted services.
SelfPrivacy has in plans to extend our application functionality to allow users to generate an operating system image to deploy it on ARM or RISC-V based hardware, and then be able to control those system from an application.
For now, SelfPrivacy offers exactly the same, but the data is hosted on Hetzner server. All services that we offer automated deploy and management for, are end-to-end encrypted using keys that are NOT MANAGED OR ACCESSED by Hetzner. Algorythms and technologies that are used to encrypt your data are: TLS 1.2(and higher), PGP, eCryptFS.
Regarding CloudFlare, it's only used as a DNS manager as Cloudflare offers API that allowed us to develop management of the DNS records from the mobile application that we offer. We do not offer to use any features of Cloudflare (like proxification or Cloudflare-enabled load-balancing) that may affect your privacy.
Development of our product is divided into stages. First stage is to provide stable and reliable product, hosted on Hetzner. Next stage is to move this product to your personal home server. Currently, we're finializing the first stage and getting ready to release stable product that does it job well. After that, our next move would be to allow users to deploy all those services on their own servers easily.
Given the all above, current state of things is only temporary base for all our future developments, solutions and technologies.

I hope that answers your question.
